POLICIES and REGULATIONS

Check - In Procedures:

Check-ins are 30 minutes PRIOR to departure time. For passengers 12 years of age or older, photo identification is required (Government issued, Driver’s license, passport, etc). Passengers are boarded 15 minutes PRIOR to flight time.  Passengers NOT CHECKED IN 20 MINUTES PRIOR to flight time are assumed to have missed their flight and will forfeit the fare paid.  Passengers who do not cancel or change their scheduled flight a minimum of 2 hours before flight time will forfeit that portion of the ticket.  Cancellations are non-refundable; the balance may be used as a credit (after payment of the $40.00 change fee, plus taxes) for a future flight with Swanberg Air Inc. and will be deemed to be valid for one year from the original date of travel.

Unaccompanied Minors:

All passengers between the ages of 5 and 12 years traveling without a guardian are considered unaccompanied minors. Children under 5 years of age are not accepted under any conditions.  Ticket fees are the same as an adult fee. Swanberg Air will require phone numbers and contact names in both the originating and destination cities. The person dropping the child off as well as the person picking the child up must have acceptable government issued photo ID. ID will be checked before the child is released. You must call Swanberg Air reservations for booking when making reservations for an Unaccompanied Minor.   

BAGGAGE REGULATIONS

Baggage allowance is 40 pounds per passenger, including carry on pieces.  Any oversized or over weight baggage may be refused or put onto a later flight - additional charges will apply ($1.00 per pound).  Carry on luggage is restricted to one bag and must be able to fit easily underneath a seat, otherwise it will be required to be stowed for the duration of the flight.  All luggage is subject to inspection.

CARGO REGULATIONS:

Cargo is subject to a minimum $30.00 charge or $1.50 per pound, whichever is greater. Cargo may be refused if it exceeds available weight, length or dimension limits. Any oversized or over weight cargo may be refused or put onto a later flight.  Passengers and their personal baggage are our first priority; cargo will be shipped on a flight where weight, length or dimension limits are available.  Swanberg Air does not accept responsibility or liability for any inconvenience or loss suffered by a customer based on the arrival time of a package.  No delivery time guarantees are implied or offered.

LIABILITY CLAUSE:

Swanberg Air does not accept responsibility or liability for any inconvenience/loss or damage suffered by a customer based on the arrival time/condition of a package/baggage.

FLYING PET POLICY:

Pets are limited to small or medium sized domestic animals.  All pets must be secured in a hard sided kennel large enough for the pet to stand comfortably.  No food or water is permitted in kennel during flight.  Rate is $50.00 plus GST per kennel. Swanberg Air will not be responsible in the event of loss, delay, injury, sickness or death of any pet/animal accepted for transportation.

GRANDE PRAIRIE ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES are from our hangar located at 102, 11010 Airport Dr., Grande Prairie, AB.   Parking is charged at a rate of $6.00 per day (24 hours of less) or  $35.00 per week.

CALGARY ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES are from our hangar located at 5414 11 St NE, Calgary, AB.  Parking is charged at a rate of $6.00 per day (24 hours or less) or $35.00 per week.
